New Scientist have been running a weekend of talks and demonstrations this weekend, all concerning science and technology. Click though to read what I saw on Friday!
So after a bit of a hiatus, I’ve started work on the Digital Zoo again. Right now I’m working out creating animations for the creature I modelled before. If any one is interested in learning to create an animated character in Blender, I would thoroughly recommend this man’s series of videos on the topic: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DuUWxUitJos
Here’s the beginnings of a walk animation!
Well, not quite. There’s lot’s of things I would like to add and improve on this site. But I’ve finished making it responsive to different screen sizes and everything should be functional.
Please let me know if there are any glaring problems! This is the first time I’ve built a website like this and so there’s a good chance I’ve missed something.

I’ve been spending the last month or so building my new website, and I’ve finally manage to wrangle it into something approaching functional!
I wanted to have a WordPress blog, because of all the lovely tools it has to make blogging easy (I don’t post enough, so the less barriers there are, the better). However, I wanted the flexibility of having the rest of the website be non-Wordpress, and it’s been a bit of a headache trying to make both sides look the same.
It’s not there yet. I haven’t done any responsive web design work, for instance, so this will all look horrible on a phone. Still, I’m getting there.
More posts soon!
(OK, that may be optimistic…)
